About The Position

The Food Service Tech I works in all areas of food service at Piedmont Geriatric Hospital, including dishwashing, food delivery, and tray assembly. The position helps maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe environment, assists with special functions, and follows applicable food-service health and safety regulations. The position requires alternating weekend and holiday work. Available shifts are 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m., 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m., and 9:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m., as needed.

Requirements

Ability to read, write, and follow specific instructions.
Knowledge of food preparation, plate assembly and tray lines, food preparation for service, and meal-cart delivery.
Knowledge of sanitation and safety processes, including cleanup of workspaces and utensils.
Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, stand for long periods, walk, and bend.

Previous industrial food-service experience.
