About The Position
This is a 10-month hourly employee position at Hoffman Estates High School, working 7.5 hours per day. The role involves assisting with food preparation, adhering to food safety and sanitation regulations, and maintaining quality standards in food production and portion control. Responsibilities include completing logs and records, operating and maintaining food service equipment, and ensuring work areas are clean and organized according to health and safety requirements. The position also requires completing regular training and attending in-service meetings.
Requirements
- Demonstrate interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrate good organizational and basic math skills
- Demonstrate the ability to multi-task
- Demonstrate the ability to work effectively as part of a group
- Demonstrate skills in food preparation.
- Food Service Sanitation Certificate required
- Ability to walk, stand, bend, and lift weights to 25 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of food.
- Follow established food safety and sanitation regulations and procedures.
- Maintain high standards of quality food production and portion control.
- Assist with completion of logs and records, as applicable to daily tasks.
- Operate, clean, and maintain food service equipment.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas in accordance with locally and federally established health, safety, and sanitation requirements.
- Complete regular training and attend in-service meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
