About The Position

The Food Service Prep/Pack role supports food preparation and production by preparing, packing, and labeling food items according to established procedures and an assigned production schedule. The position also maintains sanitary, orderly prep and storage areas and follows safe food-handling practices.

Requirements

• Ability to follow instructions and complete assigned tasks.
• Strong attention to detail, including properly portioning and labeling products.
• Good time-management skills and ability to stay on task with little direction.
• Weekend availability required.
• Ability to work with vegetables, fruits, meats, dairy, nuts, and grains required for the assigned production list.

Responsibilities

• Participate in food preparation and/or production for the department and others as directed.
• Prepare, pack, and label food items according to established procedures and the assigned production schedule.
• Maintain prep and food storage areas in a sanitary, orderly condition that meets Health Department standards.
• Follow safe food-handling procedures at the prep station, in the walk-in, and in waste management areas.
• Ensure proper storage and labeling of food items.
