About The Position

This position will be responsible for building growth minded relationships with top Foodservice National Accounts in the U.S. (100+ Unit Chains). Position drives incremental & sustained sales above foodservice industry growth trends by demonstrating expertise across all levels of customer base. Drives growth for MegaMex Foods by leading with culinary focus and applications – including menu development, new item development, limited time offers, & optimizing labor saving solutions across customer base.

Requirements

  • B.A. / Master's degree (M. B. A.) or an equivalent; and eight to ten years related experience and/or training in Foodservice industry; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct live cooking demonstrations, cuttings, and product showcases to highlight the quality and versatility of MegaMex culinary / solutions.
  • Maintain expertise on culinary trends, new products, and nutritional information to confidently educate customers.
  • Proved record of building long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships with executive, procurement, culinary, and operations stakeholders
  • Leverage culinary knowledge to identify menu white space opportunities, innovation gaps, and operational efficiencies
  • Demonstrated ability to drive results & close new business with Food Service National Operator Chains through collaboration & food forward focus
  • Knowledge / experience in Foodservice distribution elements – working with distributors (US Foods, PFG, Sysco, etc..), logistics, etc….to ensure positive customer experience
  • Experience in working with College & Universities to deliver culinary & menu solutions across all applications / formats
  • Culinary experience & passion for Mexican Foods required
  • 6+ Years of Experience in Food Service Channel of business (or equivalent training)
  • No Direct Reports Currently

Responsibilities

  • Own and oversee all sales efforts for assigned national foodservice clients; establish and execute Joint Business Plans (JBPs) to expand menu penetration and drive revenue growth with assigned accounts (existing & new)
  • Lead engagements at customer level from showcasing culinary solutions to financial impact of opportunities. Leverage consumer insights & culinary resources at top tier accounts to create comprehensive customer relationships.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and program terms with Foodservice national accounts. Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and program execution timelines.
  • Work alongside marketing, R&D, operations, culinary, and customer service to execute customer-specific innovation / limited time offers.
  • Coordinate efforts with Regional Account & Distribution leaders to segment out business to Foodservice maximize market penetration. Reduce duplication of sales efforts.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings with a focus on developing relationships that transition expansion of MegaMex brands / solutions.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitive activity, and customer dynamics. Provide insights and recommendations to leadership for strategic decision-making.
  • Owns and manages assigned national foodservice accounts (e.g., QSR chains, fast-casual, casual dining, hospitality, etc..)
  • Manages contract renewals, amendment processes, and new customer onboarding / rollouts
