The Food Service Category Manager trainee is responsible for learning and demonstrating proficiency in each of her assigned work responsibilities, including Deli, Restaurant, and Catering. This role involves maximizing sales generation, monitoring and enforcing customer service standards, and scheduling and executing effective labor. The trainee will learn to maximize profitability through expense control, ordering, shrink control, and efficient production, as well as maximizing sales through customer satisfaction, department cleanliness, and suggestive selling and food presentation. The position also involves establishing and maintaining effective staffing guidelines, identifying career opportunities for employees, enforcing quality standards, staying aware of competition, assisting with forecasting budgets, controlling shrink and inventory, implementing safety and sanitary procedures, directing program execution, and implementing policy and procedure. Work will take place in the Ashland, Medina, and Wayne County Area.
