The Food Service Category Manager trainee is responsible for learning and demonstrating proficiency in each of their assigned work responsibilities, including Deli, Restaurant, and Catering. This role involves maximizing sales generation, monitoring and enforcing customer service standards, and scheduling and executing effective and efficient labor. The trainee will learn to maximize profitability through expense control, ordering, shrink control, and efficient production, as well as maximizing sales through customer satisfaction, department cleanliness, and suggestive selling and food presentation. The position also focuses on establishing and maintaining effective staffing guidelines, identifying career development opportunities for employees, enforcing quality standards, staying informed about competitor activities, assisting with budget forecasting, controlling shrink and inventory, implementing safety and sanitary procedures, directing program execution, and implementing policy and procedure. The work will take place in the Ashland, Medina, and Wayne County Area.
