About The Position

We are seeking a dependable, organized, and customer-service-oriented Food Service Logistics & Inventory Coordinator to support daily food service operations across our café and two nearby offsite buildings. This hands-on position combines food and catering deliveries, micro market management, inventory control, and pantry replenishment. The successful candidate will work independently throughout the day while maintaining a high level of accuracy, organization, professionalism, and customer service. All three locations are located on the same campus but are not physically connected, making this an active yet highly manageable local delivery and logistics role.

Requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in food service, catering, delivery, inventory, hospitality, or warehouse operations.
  • Experience with inventory management, stocking, or replenishment.
  • ServSafe Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Complete daily breakfast deliveries to two offsite buildings using a company vehicle.
  • Complete scheduled lunch deliveries, including three deliveries to one building and one delivery to a second building.
  • Maintain the established lunch delivery window of approximately 10:45–11:30 AM.
  • Prepare, verify, and transport catering orders from the kitchen to the appropriate office, meeting room, or event location.
  • Ensure all catering deliveries arrive accurately, professionally, and on time.
  • Retrieve catering dishes, equipment, and service items at the designated pick-up time and return them to the kitchen.
  • Communicate delivery issues, schedule changes, or catering concerns promptly to the Kitchen Manager.
  • Service each micro market daily by replenishing products, rotating stock, removing expired or damaged items, and maintaining clean, organized, and attractive displays.
  • Follow proper FIFO (First In, First Out) practices when rotating products.
  • Monitor product availability, expiration dates, and overall market condition.
  • Complete formal inventory counts for all three micro markets three times per week.
  • Identify low-stock items and ordering needs and communicate them to the Kitchen Manager.
  • Complete inventory counts for two pantries once per week.
  • Identify replenishment and ordering needs.
  • Communicate inventory levels and ordering requirements to the Kitchen Manager.
  • Maintain clean and organized delivery carts, containers, and equipment.
  • Ensure food, catering equipment, and supplies are transported safely and appropriately.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and promptly communicate discrepancies or concerns.
  • Assist with other reasonable food service and operational duties as needed.
  • Follow all applicable food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
