This is a part-time position requiring 40 hours biweekly. The shifts will vary, starting as early as 6:30 AM and ending as late as 8:00 PM. This role requires working weekends and holidays. The primary responsibility is to create an excellent and memorable patient experience regarding food service at Jefferson. This involves obtaining food preferences and menu selections from patients, inputting these selections into the EPIC software, anticipating patient needs related to food service, assembling elegantly presented meals, and serving patients in a kind, courteous, and friendly manner. Essential functions include obtaining and inputting patient preferences and menu selections using the computerized EPIC software, assembling elegantly presented patient meals on the POD according to established standards, serving meals and snacks to patients, and responding to patient food service requests using Jefferson service standards. The role also involves collecting trays after meal service in a timely manner and bringing tray carts to the dishroom.
