About The Position

Lakeside Foods is seeking a Food Service Field Sales Representative - Value Added Products to drive growth across existing and new accounts while managing broker relationships within an assigned region. This role supports the expansion of the Value Added portfolio across Lakeside and Riverside brands by delivering profitable growth, strengthening customer partnerships, and executing strategic sales initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 5–10 years of sales experience, preferably in foodservice or food‑related industries
  • Experience managing regional or national product portfolios
  • Proven success in channel expansion, distributor growth, and strategic account planning
  • Demonstrated ability to execute an Annual Operating Plan (AOP) at the regional level
  • Strong experience with foodservice customer relationships and broker management
  • Ability to sell across multiple product categories
  • Strong forecasting, budgeting, and analytical capabilities
  • Experience using CRM platforms, Power BI, and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and conflict‑resolution skills
  • Ability to collaborate cross‑functionally and influence outcomes

Responsibilities

  • Grow assigned regional distributors, operators, and broker‑managed accounts
  • Deliver assigned annual volume and profit plans, including quarterly forecasts
  • Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to plan and prioritize initiatives
  • Identify and advance opportunities with complex or large customers
  • Lead category management initiatives at the customer and regional level
  • Provide competitive market intelligence to support business development and incremental growth
  • Plan and execute field‑based promotional activities, including food shows, regional meetings, and training events
  • Execute customer agreements while anticipating risks and identifying mitigation strategies
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews to strengthen relationships and drive results
  • Plan, negotiate, close, and follow up on customer agreements to create mutually beneficial outcomes
  • Maintain clear communication with Sales Operations on customer opportunities and challenges
  • Support margin performance by assisting with A/R, credit issues, deductions, samples, and pricing matters
  • Manage broker networks for core products and innovation launches as applicable
  • Keep customers informed of supply and pricing trends
  • Maintain confidentiality of company information and represent Lakeside Foods professionally
  • Perform other duties as assigned
