About The Position

MaineGeneral Health is seeking a Food Service Associate to perform food preparation, distribution, and sanitation functions in assigned areas. The position supports food service for patients and residents, guests, dining areas, and catering services. It also includes customer-facing duties as assigned and maintaining clean, safe, and orderly food service areas.

Requirements

Ability to think and work independently and with direction.
Ability to communicate with staff members in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.

Nice To Haves

High school graduate or equivalent (preferred).

Responsibilities

Assist with preparing food and beverages for distribution to patients/residents, guests, service and dining areas, and catering services.
Store food, beverages, and supplies in designated containers and areas according to policies and procedures.
Perform assigned customer-facing duties, including cashiering, waiting tables, tray line delivery, and catering special events.
Assist with sanitation duties, including dishwashing and maintaining clean, safe, and orderly work and food service areas.
