About The Position

The Endoscopy department at Elliot Hospital in Manchester, New Hampshire provides advanced endoscopic procedures using current technology. Its team of physicians, nurses, technicians, and other healthcare professionals is committed to quality patient care, comfort, and safety.

The Endoscopy Nurse provides compassionate care to patients before, during, and after endoscopic procedures. The role includes assessing patient needs, offering emotional support, assisting with post-procedure education and care, and maintaining knowledge of medical procedures and equipment used in endoscopy. This is a full-time position working 36 hours per week plus call.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Minimum of 2 years of Registered Nurse (RN) experience.
• Valid New Hampshire RN license or Compact State RN license at the time of hire; nurses hired with a Compact State license must obtain a New Hampshire RN license within 90 days of hire.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Obtain PALS certification within 3 months of hire.

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients for endoscopic procedures.
• Monitor patients’ condition during and after procedures.
• Administer medications as needed throughout procedures.
• Collaborate with physicians to ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Assess patient needs and provide support before, during, and after procedures.
• Provide emotional support and assist with post-procedure education or care.
