About The Position

BID Milton is hiring a Registered Nurse for its new 6-bed Progressive Care Unit (PCU), which bridges medical-surgical and intensive care services. The unit cares for patients requiring closer monitoring and more frequent clinical interventions, with a 3:1 nurse-to-patient ratio. The role provides care to a diverse medical-surgical population in a step-down environment and offers the opportunity to help shape a new unit while developing clinical expertise in a collaborative community hospital setting. Under the general supervision of the Nurse Manager or designee, the Registered Nurse provides patient-centered care within the scope of a Massachusetts RN license. The nurse uses the nursing process to assess patients, plan and coordinate interventions, evaluate outcomes, revise care plans, and document care. The position also involves collaboration with other health care providers, patient and family education, telemetry and dysrhythmia monitoring, and care for patients with a range of medical, surgical, cardiac, respiratory, neurological, orthopedic, and renal conditions. The position is 36 hours per week on nights. The listed base hourly pay range is $36.00–$90.14, with actual compensation dependent on factors such as experience, education, certifications, location, and applicable shift or premium pay. Beth Israel Lahey Health requires staff to be vaccinated against influenza as a condition of employment.
