Food Service Assistant - PT Day Weekends - Cedar Lake Village - Assisted Living & Memory Care
About The Position
The Food Service Assistant performs food service duties at Cedar Lake Village, an assisted living and memory care campus. Responsibilities include monitoring and recording food temperatures, setting up and maintaining a clean and sanitized serving area, preparing and serving food, restocking food areas, cleaning and sanitizing equipment, and processing payments for food and beverages using a computerized register. The role follows Hazardous Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines, maintains quality control standards, and provides outstanding customer service while communicating effectively with patrons and coworkers. The position may involve operating food service and kitchen equipment and requires the ability to work independently when necessary. On-the-job training is provided.
Requirements
- Minimum age of 16 years.
- Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written directions.
- Ability to perform basic math.
- Ability to be on one's feet for most of the day and walk long distances.
- Depending on hire location, Serv Safe certification may be required within a designated time frame.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) may be required depending on location requirements.
Nice To Haves
- Previous customer service experience.
- Experience with retail counting and reconciliation of money.
