About The Position

The Food Service Assistant performs food service duties such as monitoring and recording food temperatures, setting up and maintaining a clean and sanitized serving area, preparing and serving food, restocking food areas, cleaning and sanitizing equipment, and processing payments for food and beverages using a computerized register. The role follows Hazardous Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines, maintains quality control standards, and provides outstanding customer service while communicating effectively with patrons and coworkers. On-the-job training is provided. Depending on the hiring location, Serv Safe certification may be required within a designated time frame, and Basic Life Support (BLS) may be required.

Requirements

• Be at least 16 years of age.
• Be able to read, write, and follow oral and written directions.
• Be able to perform basic math.
• Be able to work independently when necessary.
• Understand food safety and sanitation processes.
• Be able to remain on feet for most of the day and walk long distances.

Nice To Haves

• Previous customer service experience.
• Experience with retail counting and reconciliation of money.
• Knowledge of food service.
• Experience working in the food industry.
• Serv Safe certification may be required depending on location.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) may be required depending on location.
