About The Position

Responsible for maintaining good housekeeping in the kitchen and dining areas. In addition, assists in the serving and preparation of food. Promotes an environment of customer service, hospitality, and student satisfaction.

Requirements

High School Diploma, GED, or High School Equivalency Diploma.
Ability to read and write in English.
Well-defined habits of personal cleanliness and hygiene.
Meet State or local food handling requirements, whichever are more restrictive.
Obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid certificates.
Ability to operate office equipment.
Ability to read at a college level.
Ability to write at a college level.

Nice To Haves

Certificate of completion from a culinary/food service training program.
Three months experience in a food service capacity.
Serve Safe certification.

Responsibilities

Create and sustain positive working relationships with co-workers.
Adhere to all PRH and CSDC policies and procedures, and the Center Operating Procedures.
Ensure equipment and assigned work areas are clean and maintained in accordance with state and local codes, CSD, and DOL standards.
Assist in the preparation of food.
Assist in serving food.
Clean and maintain dining room and kitchen facilities.
Operate dish-washing equipment.
Clean and check service equipment.
Fill salt, pepper and napkin dispensers after each meal.
Assist in moving and storing supplies.
Work within established safety guidelines.
Attend required staff training sessions.
Perform other duties as assigned.
