Food Service Aide
About The Position
UF Health Rehabilitation Hospital, in affiliation with Select Medical, is seeking a Food Service Aide for a Per Diem/Part-time position. This role involves 1-2 shifts per week, with shifts from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm or 10:30 am to 7:00 pm, including some weekends. The pay rate is $18.00 per hour. The Food Service Aide will perform various duties related to patient food services, dining room services, and dish room services. This includes food preparation, serving food to patients, families, staff, and visitors, and assisting with cleanup. The role emphasizes providing quality work, demonstrating job knowledge, making good decisions, and being timely and efficient in food preparation and service. Completing scheduled procedures without compromising quality, volunteering to assist in other kitchen areas, demonstrating reliability and dependability, and operating equipment safely are key aspects of this position.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent experience preferred
- Previous healthcare food service experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of patient food services, dining room services and dish room services.
- Be an integral part of the food preparations, serving of the prepared food to patients, families, staff and visitors and assisting in clean up.
- Provide quality work, showing knowledge of the job and good decision making.
- Be timely and efficient when preparing food.
- Provide high quality food preparation and service.
- Complete all procedures scheduled during the shift without compromising the quality of work.
- Volunteer to help in other areas of the kitchen when necessary.
- Demonstrate reliability and dependability in your work.
- Operate equipment and perform related duties in a safe manner.
