About The Position

The Village of Taunton Mills has an exciting opportunity for a Permanent Part Time Food Service Aide to join their team in Long Term Care. This role involves assisting in serving meals and beverages to residents, supporting meal preparation for events, and maintaining a clean dining room and workspace. The position emphasizes a caring and respectful attitude, accuracy, speed, and safety in all tasks, while embracing a resident-centered social culture and delivering high-quality customer service.

Requirements

• Able to lift up to 50lbs (5-20 lb. usual), and push/pull wheeled equipment such as carts and trolleys that weigh a maximum of 100 lbs. (20-50 lb. usual).
• Possess exceptional time management skills and ability to work in collaboration with a team.
• Be able to stand or walk for the majority of your shift (8-hours maximum).
• Have a valid Smart Serve Certification.
• Hold a valid Food handlers certification.

Nice To Haves

• Completed, enrolled in or willing to enroll in the Food Services Worker training program
• Hold a valid Food Safety Awareness certification or equivalent.

• Assist in serving meals and beverages to our residents ensuring we meet residents’ diets and food preferences while following safe and sanitary food handling techniques.
