About The Position
The Village of Tansley Woods has an exciting opportunity for a Recreation Team Member to join their team. This is a Permanent Full Time position with [75] Hours Bi-Weekly, encompassing Days, Evenings, and Weekends. The hiring rate for this role is $23.26 per collective agreement/employee association agreement. Requirements
- Be enrolled in/completed diploma or degree recreation/leisure studies and/or gerontology from a community college or university
- Display a caring and respectful attitude toward our residents, families, and team members
- Support and embrace our resident-centered social culture
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Foster exemplary relationships with residents, their families and the Village team to deliver holistic care that focusses on flexible living and quality of life
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of the five domains in Therapeutic Recreation that contribute to an individual’s health
- Knowledge of recreational therapy practices, methods, techniques and opportunities to improve resident’s well-being and holistic health
- An understanding of the relevant sections of the Long-Term Care Homes Act, 2007
