About The Position

The Food Server is responsible for ensuring that all guests are provided with a memorable dining experience. Each team member ensures that the outlet is clean and organized and that the restaurant is ready on time every day to ensure that every guest is well taken care of in a fine dining environment. They are to follow instructions from our events leadership to ensure each guest is taken care of during their event.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Maintaining interpersonal working relationships among all personnel.
  • Oral and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and handle high-pressure situations.
  • Available to work when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights.
  • Adheres to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Cleans and polishes tableware of spots and pre-buses.
  • Ability to work effectively with others.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and handle high-pressure situations in an interruptive environment.
  • Able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license.

Nice To Haves

  • Fine dining experience, preferably in a high-volume casino steakhouse.
  • Knowledge of wines, alcohol, and basic food knowledge.
  • 6 months of prior work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Taking orders from patrons and returning these orders in a timely manner.
  • Keeping the area in a clean and orderly manner.
  • Performing “responsible alcohol service” with regard to patron limitations and passing any/all responsible alcohol service training, if needed.
  • Carrying serving trays full of dinner plates.
  • Ensuring the safety and security of employees and guests.
  • Delivering and dispensing items ordered by guests, serving beverages, food, and non-food items via tray service.
  • Guest banking all dining room checks.
  • Using Point of Sale equipment to enter orders for kitchen personnel.
  • Using equipment such as coffee brewers, iced tea makers, juice, soda, and milk dispensers.
  • Bussing tables in a timely manner to accommodate new business.
  • Responding to questions positively as a role model for the company.
  • Working with communication devices such as telephones and policy systems.
  • Maintaining confidentiality and security of relevant information.
  • Treating all internal and external guests in a manner to ensure complete satisfaction, always striving to exceed our guests’ expectations.
