About The Position

Thornton Winery is hiring experienced servers to provide outstanding service and hospitality for our seasonal concert series, running from April through the end of October. Must be able to work Fridays, Saturdays and some Sundays. Holidays may be required as well.

Requirements

• MUST be at least 21 years old.
• MUST have Friday, Saturday, Sunday nights, and holiday availability.
• Provide copy of, or apply for, a Riverside County food handlers card and Responsible Beverage Server certification within the first week.
• Tolerate being on your feet for extended periods.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to work under stress.
• Knowledge of wine/beer.
• Must have restaurant experience, NOT including fast food.
• Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Excellent organization and problem-solving skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of principles for dealing directly with the public.
• Standing and walking during shift.
• Reliability!

Nice To Haves

• POS experience preferred.
• Knowledge of processing manual credit cards.

Responsibilities

• Take customers food orders and pour wine/beer.
• Set up and take down portable bar.
• Stocking supplies as needed.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and organized event area while providing outstanding customer service.
