About The Position

Four Seasons Resort O’ahu at Ko Olina is looking for a On-Call Food Runner who has a passion for excellence and the spirit of aloha. The Food Runner reports to the Mānalo Lounge Manager and serves guest needs by assisting the Service Attendant with delivery of food & Beverage from kitchen and completing guest requests. Manalo Lounge – meaning ‘sweet water’ in Hawaiian, celebrates Hawaii’s diverse mix of cultures that have influenced the area’s cuisine. Inspired by Oahu’s natural resources - where the fresh water of the mountains harmoniously merges with the salt water of the ocean, thus creating a sweet water, the cuisine pays homage to the mix of cultures found here, as well as throughout Asia and across the greater Pacific. Akin to the saying, 'Ae Kai - to bring together the land and sea to serve as a gathering place, Manalo Lounge serves as a welcoming intersection to gather with family and friends for dinner, in a contemporary, yet casual setting at the water’s edge. Four Seasons Resort O'ahu at Ko Olina balances a classic Hawaiian style with one-of-a-kind luxury. Requirements

  • Candidate must be fluent in English, both verbal and written.
  • Candidates should have at least 1 year previous experience in a similar position in a luxury environment.
  • Must be experienced in the areas of communication and computer skills.
  • Service Passion Requires attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Successful candidates must possess legal work authorization in the United States

Responsibilities

  • Deliver food from kitchen to the guest ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Assist in clearing, cleaning and set-up of tables, chairs, linens, china, glass and silver for service in an unobtrusive manner; greet guests according to Four Seasons Standards to ensure superior service.
  • Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests.
  • Assist in stocking linens, china, glass, silver, and food items for service; assist in preparation of smaller items such as toast, soup, or beverages.
  • Assist in the breakdown, cleaning and set-up of buffets and food stations.
