About The Position

The Food Runner is responsible for ensuring every dish leaves the kitchen and reaches Members’ tables promptly, accurately, and at the proper temperature and presentation standard. The role serves as a critical link between the kitchen and dining room. The position reports to the Assistant Director of Food & Beverage and is non-exempt. The employee may need to perform a variety of duties in response to the Club’s fluctuating operational demands, including helping others when needed. The role requires flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. The hourly rate is $16.90. Offers are contingent on successful background and drug screening.

Requirements

Food Handler certification, or ability to obtain it.
Strong sense of urgency, organization, and attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

Prior food running, serving, or kitchen experience.

Responsibilities

Retrieve completed dishes from the kitchen pass and verify accuracy against the ticket before delivery.
Deliver food promptly to the correct table and seat, confirming the course and item with the guest.
Immediately communicate delays, discrepancies, or quality concerns to the expo and kitchen team.
Maintain working knowledge of daily menu items, specials, and preparations to answer basic Member questions.
Assist with plate presentation and garnish checks before service.
Help others with duties as operational needs arise.
Support servers and bussers with clearing and resetting tables during peak service periods.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the expo line and runner stations.
Follow food safety protocols for proper holding times and temperatures.
