About The Position

The Food Quality Technician is responsible for day-to-day product testing, monitoring, and reporting at Hanline Foods in Shelby, Ohio. The role checks product quality and tests packaged and processed products against USDA, FDA, ODA, and company requirements. The position works a four-day second-shift schedule, Monday through Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.; training takes place on first shift. Overtime may be needed. The work is in a fast-paced, team-oriented factory and warehouse environment.

Requirements

At least 1 year of experience in a similar role.
Ability to stand for a minimum of 8 hours per day.
Ability to work a minimum of 40 hours per week.
Ability to work weekends when needed.
Be present every scheduled workday, arrive on time, and stay for the entire shift.

Responsibilities

Check product quality to ensure it meets USDA, FDA, ODA, and company regulations.
Test packaged and processed products according to applicable regulations and company requirements.
Perform moisture, color, fat, salt, weight, and organoleptic testing.
Verify times and temperatures, packaging seals, and packaging code dates.
Conduct environmental monitoring and cleaning checks.
Monitor GMP compliance.
Monitor and test ingredients from receiving through shipping.
Start up and check laboratory equipment.
Utilize the hold system.
Complete required documentation.
Report damaged equipment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
