About The Position

Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry is hiring a full-time, second-shift Quality Technician at its Manitowoc, Wisconsin facility. The technician helps ensure castings meet customer specifications for quality, reliability, and performance by conducting laboratory testing, industrial X-ray inspections, and other quality checks. The role calls for attention to detail, curiosity, and a willingness to investigate potential defects and prevent quality problems.

Responsibilities

• Perform chemical and mechanical testing on aluminum alloys to support production.
• Conduct industrial X-ray and other non-destructive testing (NDT) to identify internal defects.
• Support new product launches through material testing and first-piece inspections.
• Perform and document quality testing on Air Set, Cold Box, Green Sand, and Shell Core sand systems, including physical property and process testing.
• Inspect and test incoming vendor materials, accurately record results, and monitor trends to support quality and production.
• Provide backup support for NDT operations, including X-ray and material chemical analysis, as needed.
