Quality Technician - 2nd Shift
About The Position
ARC Technologies LLC, a Hexcel company, is seeking a Quality Technician II at its Amesbury, Massachusetts location. The role inspects incoming, in-process, and finished products and related documentation to verify conformity with customer contracts and company quality requirements. The technician selects and sets up measuring equipment and fixtures, completes inspection and test records, plans and reports First Article Inspections to AS9102, and supports source inspections. The role also interprets drawings and production documents, clarifies quality requirements with management and engineering, communicates quality activity status across teams, reports discrepancies, and prepares Certificates of Conformance and Certificates of Analysis. The position is restricted to U.S. citizens because of U.S. government contract regulations and requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance. Pay range: $26.12–$31.31.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1–3 years of quality-related work experience.
- Ability to interpret engineered drawings.
- Hands-on ability and competence in mechanical setup and use of measuring devices and equipment, such as calipers, micrometers, height gages, radius gages, and optical measurement systems.
- Organized and detail-oriented approach to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Professional written and verbal communication skills for addressing internal and external customer issues and requirements.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision while keeping management informed.
- Strong sense of urgency and responsiveness to ensure commitments are met.
- Experience with Microsoft Office tools, including Word and Excel.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
- U.S. citizenship; the position is restricted to U.S. citizens due to U.S. government contract regulations.

Responsibilities
- Inspect incoming, in-process, and finished products and documentation using established sampling plans to verify conformity.
- Determine inspection methodology and set up measuring equipment and fixtures to measure dimensions, angles, profiles, configuration attributes, and visual requirements.
- Complete inspection and test documentation and reports accurately and efficiently in accordance with customer contracts and ARC quality requirements.
- Plan First Article Inspections and complete FAI reports in accordance with the AS9102 standard.
- Help prepare products and documentation for source inspections as required.
- Interpret engineered drawings, formulas, production work orders, procedures, instructions, and specifications to complete inspection and documentation requirements.
- Consult with management and engineering to clarify and determine quality standards and requirements.
- Work cross-functionally to communicate the status of quality-related activities and help prioritize work.
- Record and communicate product-quality and documentation discrepancies to Product Engineers and management, as applicable.
- Prepare Certificates of Conformance (CoC) and Certificates of Analysis (CoA) as required.
