About The Position

Join a great team where people are at the heart of everything we do! Sodexo is seeking an experienced leader for a Food Operations Manager 1 at Jefferson Medical Center in Ranson, West Virginia. Jefferson Medical Center is a 25 bed critical access hospital and is a member of WVUMedicine. As the only hospital in the county JMC provides a wide range of clinical services in an intimate Academic Medical Center environment. The Food Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the daily operations including retail and patient services. This position will be the main point of contact at the unit and has responsbilities of leading a successful frontline team, ensuring compliance and improving the patient experience. We are looking for a charismatic and organized individual to support a team of 16 frontline associates. Requirements

  • have a work history demonstrating strong employee engagement leadership skills, as well as previous supervisory experience and the ability to work collaboratively
  • have culinary production experience and a strong background in safety and sanitation compliance
  • can manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service
  • have an optimistic attitude with an enthusiastic and energetic personality
  • Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 2 years Minimum Management Experience
  • 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.

Nice To Haves

  • contract foodservice management experience in a healthcare environment

Responsibilities

  • be responsible for purchasing, menu compliance, inventory, food cost analysis and food production forecasting
  • ensure Sodexo Culinary standards including recipe compliance and food quality are implemented
  • have the ability and willingness to develop and motivate team members to embrace culinary innovations
  • ensure food safety, sanitation and workplace safety standard compliance
  • have working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems
  • achieve company and client financial targets and goals
