About The Position

Creating solutions for everything from dining and nutrition to facilities maintenance and rehabilitative services, Sodexo partners with government agencies and military organizations to improve people’s quality of life and make a positive impact. Sodexo is seeking a Food Operations Manager 1 for the United States Marine Corps at Parris Island located in Parris Island, SC. Headquarters and Service Battalion Mess Hall is located aboard Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, South Carolina. This dining facility is patronized daily by the permanent personnel Marines stationed on the depot. Currently open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner seven days a week, the unit averages around three hundred meals fed daily. The Food Operations Manager provides supervision for multi-functional food service areas at an account/unit to ensure client satisfaction and retention for the Company.

Requirements

Work history demonstrating strong employee engagement leadership skills
Previous supervisory experience
Ability to work collaboratively
Ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed
Culinary production experience
Strong background in safety and sanitation compliance
Can manage multiple priorities
Demonstrate professional communication skills
Passion for a high level of customer service
Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
2 years minimum management experience
1 year minimum functional experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
