About The Position

This position maintains a clean, sanitary, and safe environment within the food service department. Responsibilities include working in all areas of food service, such as dishwashing, food delivery, and tray assembly. The role also involves assisting with special functions and adhering to all health and safety guidelines established by food service regulations. The position requires the capacity to learn and perform all aspects of the food service department, including tray line, food preparation, and sanitation, in a safe and efficient manner. Additionally, the role involves operating various kitchen equipment, lifting heavy objects, bending, standing, and walking for prolonged periods. The ability to work in extreme temperatures (hot or cold) and assist with the orientation and training of new food service employees is also required. This position requires working varied shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

  • Supervisory Experience
  • Knowledge in a program or application (food service, inventory system, yields, portion control and cost control)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to read, write and follow specific instructions
  • Ability to operate a variety of kitchen equipment used in food preparation
  • Ability to lift heavy objects, bend, stand and walk for prolonged periods
  • Aptitude to work as a contributing team member
  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures (hot or cold)
