Food Expeditor - Private Country Club
About The Position
We are currently seeking Food Expeditors who are committed to providing consistently professional and courteous service, contributing to an outstanding guest experience. Food Expeditors play a vital role in the operational flow, acting as the primary point of contact between the kitchen and service teams, and responsible for the smooth flow of orders and efficient delivery of service. This includes facilitating seamless communication between servers and chefs and ensuring the highest standards of dish presentation and quality. This position entails effectively communicating orders to the kitchen and meticulously preparing dishes for delivery. The goal of the expeditor role is to provide an exceptional experience for our members.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a food expeditor or other relatable restaurant position
- Understanding of health and safety regulations in the restaurant industry
- Experience and efficiency in using kitchen equipment and utensils
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. and be able to bend, walk, and stand for duration of work shift
- Must be 18 years of age or older
Nice To Haves
- Food handlers certification preferred, not required
- Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Have a member focus approach when completing tasks
- Ability to follow directions and pay close attention to details
- Be able to work individually and in a team capacity
Responsibilities
- Ensure the efficient flow of orders from the dining room to the kitchen
- Ensure orders are being prepared correctly based on members specifications
- Check dishes before delivery for accuracy, presentation, and temperature of food
- Monitor to-go orders for completeness and package for delivery
- Exchange important information between front of the house and back of the house staffs
- Set up, break down, maintain, and stock the expediting work area
- Inspect the work areas according to quality and sanitation standards and assist in cleaning
- Other tasks identified by Executive Chef or Clubhouse Manager as needed
