About The Position

Prairie Co-op is seeking a Food Division Manager to lead our Food Division, C-stores in Melville, SK. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will be instrumental in overseeing multiple retail store operations, ensuring they meet their sales, profitability, and strategic goals. This is a key Senior Leadership role that will collaborate with the senior leadership team to contribute to the overall strategic planning and decision-making for Food Division, C-stores at Prairie Co-op. The ideal candidate is a proactive and experienced leader with a strong background in food retail leadership. Requirements

  • Education: A bachelor’s degree is required, with a strong preference for a focus in Business or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: You must have 12+ years of relevant industry experience, which includes at least 10 years in a leadership role and 5+ years specifically in the Food sector.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the Food Division's annual Business Plan, collaborating with senior leadership and the Board of Directors to drive long-term growth and sustainability.
  • Oversee the division's budget, ensuring the achievement of financial targets including sales growth, margin optimization, and efficient inventory management.
  • Direct the operations of retail stores, ensuring the consistent implementation of policies, merchandising standards, and best operational practices.
  • Analyze market trends to develop innovative, localized marketing strategies and identify new opportunities for business expansion, such as new locations or product lines.
  • Foster a Customer-Centric culture by developing and enforcing high customer service standards that align with overall Co-op strategies.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Store Managers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and professional growth.
