About The Position

The Highlands at Harbor Springs is looking for enthusiastic and customer-focused team members to join our Food Market crew! In this role, you will assist guests with placing food orders, selecting items from our Grab-and-Go coolers, and ordering pizzas from Champions Pizza. We are looking for dependable team members who enjoy working with people and creating a positive guest experience. This position offers full-time and part-time opportunities with flexible scheduling, giving you plenty of time to enjoy the perks and benefits of working at The Highlands!

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Minimum of 6 months of customer service experience.
Strong cash-handling and basic menu knowledge.
Ability to use POS systems and demonstrate proper phone etiquette.
Strong attention to detail, time management, and teamwork skills.
Ability to stand for 6–8 hours per shift.
Ability to frequently bend and lift, including occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Answer phones to take pizza orders
Welcome and greet guests. Make all our guests feel comfortable and let them know you are there to personally take care of them.
Upsell food and beverage items by using suggestive selling techniques.
Answer questions about our food, beverages, and other available products.
Communicate orders to cooks
Enter orders into the Point-of-Sale system
Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
Maintain complete knowledge of all products and services.
Always aim to create a positive customer experience.
Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol.
Describe menu items to customers or suggest products that might appeal to them.
Receive and process customer payments.
Balancing cash drawers and making daily deposits.
Stock, rotate, and store products correctly.
Working with team members to maintain a clean, tidy work environment.
Perform cleaning tasks in accordance with the daily checklist.
