About The Position

Legends Event Center is a sport, recreation, and entertainment destination in Bryan, Texas, managed by Sports Facilities Management, LLC, a Sports Facilities Companies company. The Food & Beverage Team Member assists at food and beverage locations, providing quality customer service and consistent products. Duties include customer assistance, cashiering, food preparation and service, cleaning, dishwashing, food temperature checks, and helping with party rentals. The role is part-time and reports to the Food & Beverage Manager.

Requirements

Must be at least 16 years of age.
Must be able to work weekends.
Prior experience operating a cash register and balancing a cash drawer.
Ability to communicate in a positive, friendly manner with patrons.
Occasionally climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Occasionally lift, pull, push, and/or move heavy items.
Handle cleaning chemicals with extreme caution.

Nice To Haves

One year of customer service experience with the general public is preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist customers as needed and provide outstanding customer service.
Operate an electronic cash register and credit card machine.
Perform basic mathematical computations.
Balance the cash drawer and manage daily income.
Communicate with the public in a tactful, polite, and friendly manner.
Clean dining and food and beverage areas and tables; assist in preparing and serving food items; and fill condiment containers.
Pick up dishes, glasses, eating utensils, and trash in dining and food and beverage areas.
Scrape and rinse dishes; load and operate the dishwasher; and wash dishes, carts, pots, pans, and equipment.
Take and record food temperatures to ensure proper temperature controls during food transportation.
Assist in unloading, lifting, and carrying food and supplies from trucks and storage areas and placing them in designated areas.
Assist with party rentals, including guest check-in, party supplies and setup, and cleaning cabanas and shelters.
Immediately alert management about suspicious-acting persons, intoxicated individuals, adults with no children, and similar incidents.
Immediately alert management about cash-drawer mistakes or adjustments.
Perform additional tasks assigned by management.
