About The Position

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being close to the floor, supporting teams through service and creating memorable hospitality moments, while also contributing to revenue, profitability, positioning and continuous improvement. Working closely with the Managing Partner, General Manager and key partners across the hotel and head office, you will help bring ideas to life, support business priorities and ensure each outlet delivers an experience that reflects Germain Hotels’ standards.

Requirements

  • 4 to 5 years of progressive leadership experience in restaurants, hotels or upscale hospitality environments.
  • A strong passion for hospitality and a genuine desire to create memorable guest experiences.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach and mobilize teams while remaining actively involved in daily operations.
  • Strong business sense, with the ability to understand financial results and translate them into concrete action plans.
  • Excellent organizational, communication and coaching skills.
  • A proactive and entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to identify opportunities, solve problems and bring new ideas forward.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards, labour legislation and licensing regulations.
  • The ability to balance planning, guest experience, team leadership and hands-on execution in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the daily operations of all assigned food and beverage outlets, ensuring smooth execution, consistent service standards and memorable guest experiences.
  • Recruit, onboard, coach and develop team members while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and genuine hospitality.
  • Remain visible on the floor during service, supporting the team, engaging with guests and resolving concerns with professionalism, care and sound judgment.
  • Manage staffing levels, scheduling, labour productivity, payroll, gratuities, inventory, equipment and operating supplies while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and control costs.
  • Work closely with the culinary team to ensure strong coordination between kitchen and front of house.
  • Collaborate with the Managing Partner and General Manager on business strategies that support the positioning, performance and profitability of each outlet.
  • Analyze financial results, guest feedback, market trends and competitive activity to identify opportunities for growth, improvement and innovation.
  • Develop and implement action plans to achieve revenue, profitability, labour, productivity, satisfaction and loyalty targets.
  • Participate in annual business planning, budgeting, forecasting, departmental meetings, BEO meetings, leadership meetings and planning sessions.
  • Contribute ideas for menu evolution, seasonal programming, pricing strategies, promotional events, collaborations, product launches and signature experiences.
  • Work with Marketing, Public Relations, Digital and Social Media teams on campaigns, activations and storytelling that increase awareness and drive traffic.
  • Ensure all guest-facing experiences are aligned with the hotel’s positioning and Germain Hotels’ brand standards.
  • Work closely with Revenue Management, Sales, Catering, Housekeeping and Front Office to maximize hotel-wide opportunities.
