About The Position

The Lead Food & Beverage assists in the daily operations of the Food & Beverage Department by providing leadership, direction, and support to team members while ensuring exceptional guest service. This position serves as a working lead, oversees daily operations in the absence of management, ensures compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and applicable gaming requirements, and promotes a clean, efficient, and guest-focused environment.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • One year of restaurant supervisory or lead experience required or 1 years of experience within the department.
  • Cashier and cooking experience required
  • Must learn all other job positions within the department in first 6 months from hiring.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.
  • Appropriate Licenser.
  • Must be able to obtain a food handlers card and responsible alcohol beverage service certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Working knowledge of Point of Sale systems such as Agilisys or Micros.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
  • Frequently required to stand and walk.
  • Occasionally required to lift or maneuver up to 75 lb.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

  • Enforces performance standards, policies and procedures as they relate to Food & Beverage, monitors Food Server service on the dining floor. Ensures smooth and efficient operations on a continual basis.
  • Assists with opening and closing procedures for restaurant, bar, deli, and sprinkles.
  • Assists with employee training and mentoring to ensure adherence to department standards
  • Monitors staffing levels and communicates operational needs to management.
  • Assists with inventory counts, ordering, receiving, stocking, and proper storage of food, beverages, and supplies
  • Completes required reports, shift documentation, and incident reports as necessary.
  • Ensures the highest possible standards of customer service and employee relations are maintained and carried out in a fair and equitable manner.
  • Ensures compliance with all health and safety standards/regulations as well as all applicable beverage, federal, state and local laws/ordinances.
  • Monitors job performance of all Food and Beverage employees and provides feedback aid the employees in developing and enhancing skills.
  • Provides input to Management concerning operational deficiencies and areas in need of improvement.
  • Promotes positive Customer Relations through prompt, courteous and efficient service.
  • Responsible for listening to, evaluating and handling Customer complaints in a way that satisfies the customer to their satisfaction.
  • Knowledge of internal controls, policies and procedures, and health and safety laws.
  • Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.
  • Responsible for overseeing, covering breaks and filling any position within the Food and Beverage department when needed. Must be able to perform any position within the department adequately and aid any department employees in producing a smoothly and efficiently run operation that meets the highest standards of Customer Services.
  • Ability to handle cash, tip out servers and cashiers, close out drawer, process refunds and use the cash register to assist in anyway needed.
  • Oversees daily kitchen operations during assigned shifts to ensure food is prepared efficiently, accurately, and in a timely manner.
  • Directly supervises all Food and Beverage service employees on assigned shift.
  • Carries out lead responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
