About The Position

This is a full-time hospitality position offering flexible scheduling. Shifts typically range from 4 to 8+ hours, with weekday, weekend, and holiday availability required. Occasionally, you will work split shifts as needed to meet the club's service standards and member needs. As a Lead Beverage and Food Server, you will begin your day by leading the setup of the dining area, ensuring everything is pristine for members' arrival. Throughout your shift, you will deliver first-class service, greet and seat members with warmth and professionalism, and assist them with food and beverage selections, confidently explaining menu details and preparation methods. You will support your fellow team members and managers, anticipate and fulfill member needs, and engage with guests to make everyone feel welcome and at home. You will maintain a presentable and inviting environment, enforce safety and sanitation standards, and act as a liaison between the front and back of house. During service, you will ensure member checks are accurate, handle checkout procedures and tip-outs, and troubleshoot issues promptly. At the end of your shift, you will oversee the breakdown and closing duties, lead monthly inventory, and provide feedback to management, all while embodying the values, pride, and standards of Austin Country Club.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ year(s) of experience in a restaurant and serving position
  • Deep knowledge of wine, liquor, beer, food, and proper service
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Team player mentality
  • Genuine passion for hospitality and guest service
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to move and lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods
  • Weekday, weekend, and holiday availability required
  • Flexible scheduling

Nice To Haves

  • Club experience is a plus
  • Bartending experience is preferred
  • Basic computer skills are also a plus
