About The Position

Responsible for guest satisfaction by handling cash and credit card transactions in an expeditious and professional manner. The role serves guests, processes checks accurately, follows cash-handling procedures, and helps maintain a clean, safe, and well-maintained establishment. The cashier must observe health and safety regulations, maintain confidentiality, be sensitive to Native American culture, and operate in accordance with Leech Lake Gaming policies, Tribal Internal Controls, and other applicable regulations.

Requirements

Must be dependable and reliable.
Must be able to interact with the public.
Must be able to lift a minimum of 10 pounds.
Must be able to stand for long periods.
Must have strong computer and point-of-sale (POS) skills.
Must meet Tribal/State compact licensing requirements.
Must pass a criminal background check and submit to drug testing.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Previous cash-handling experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain positive guest relations.
Greet guests as they enter, and thank them and invite them back as they leave.
Follow company policies and procedures for cash handling.
Calculate guest check totals quickly and accurately.
Provide prompt service to guests and employees.
Maintain proper serving techniques.
Observe health regulations and safety precautions.
Complete assigned setup, closing duties, and side work.
Keep the establishment clean and well maintained.
Maintain knowledge of events throughout the property.
Attend and/or facilitate mandatory meetings and training.
Maintain confidentiality.
Operate in accordance with Leech Lake Gaming Human Resource and departmental policies, Tribal Internal Controls, and other applicable regulations.
Help secure the assets of Leech Lake Gaming and the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe.
Perform other duties as assigned.
