About The Position

This role is responsible for ensuring the restaurant adheres to all brand or hotel franchise standards. The supervisor will inspect daily side work and cleanliness, conduct pre-shift meetings, and maintain standards of food and beverage quality and guest services. They will also assist in employee discipline, recognition, and performance evaluations, monitor restaurant performance through guest feedback and financial reports, and participate in monthly inventories to reduce breakage and loss. Open communication with employees and departments is key, as is responding quickly and courteously to guest requests and resolving complaints. The supervisor must maintain a professional image, follow company policies, and aggressively recruit and staff the department. Training on safety, security, procedures, and service guidelines is also a responsibility, as is fulfilling Manager on Duty shifts and ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Requirements

  • Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • A minimum of one year food and beverage and/ or hospitality related work experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures restaurant adheres to all standards as outlined by brand or hotel franchise.
  • Inspects daily pre and post-shift side work and cleanliness of outlet areas.
  • Conducts pre-shift meetings to inform staff of daily events; reviews daily specials.
  • Maintains standards of food and beverage quality and guest services; resolves guest complaints.
  • Assists in employee discipline, recognition and performance evaluations.
  • Monitors performance of the restaurant through analysis of guest feedback and financial reports; initiates corrective action.
  • Participates in monthly inventories. Initiates programs to reduce breakage and loss in China, Glass and Silver.
  • Maintains open lines of communication with all employees and departments.
  • Responds quickly to guest requests in a friendly manner. Follows up to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Provides a professional image at all times through appearance and dress.
  • Follows company policies and procedures and is able to effectively communicate them to subordinates.
  • Aggressively recruits and staffs department using company hiring standards (i.e. behavioral questioning, reference checks, evaluations and team interviews).
  • Conducts training classes regarding safety, security, department procedures and service guidelines.
  • Fulfills Manager on Duty shifts.
  • Ensures hotel is in compliance with all federal, state and local laws, including OSHA, EEOC, Wage Hour and Health laws.
