Hourly Food and Beverage Supervisor
About The Position
This is a full-time position where you will be the right hand of the Director of Food & Beverage, helping to lead one of the largest departments in the hotel. You will be responsible for delivering a great dining and lounge experience, training others to do the same, and focusing on the bottom line. You will be a visionary, staying updated on food and beverage trends to deliver a successful and modern experience. You will actively inspect your areas of responsibility, recognize staff, identify areas for improvement, and connect with guests and staff to ensure smooth operations. You will also manage staffing, budgets, and forecasts to ensure efficiency and achieve financial goals. You may also serve as the Manager on Duty when requested.
Requirements
- At least five years of progressive experience in food & beverage in a resort or hotel.
- Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate effectively and professionally in English.
- Ability to professionally deal with difficult situations and people.
- Proficiency in using a computer and various software programs.
- Certified alcohol training.
- Ability to work long hours.
- Medium work – Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
- Ability to bend, stretch, twist or reach with your body and arms.
- Ability to work under variable temperatures and noise levels.
- Near Vision - The ability to see details at close range.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time without sitting or leaning.
