About The Position

The Food and Beverage Manager supports the delivery of food and beverage service for banquets, catering events, and the restaurant. The role assists with event setup and service, coordinates with the Sales Team to help ensure client satisfaction, supports team member selection and development, and helps resolve operational issues. The manager works closely with the Director of Food and Beverage to support efficient operation of the department. The position is physically demanding and requires extended periods of standing, sitting, walking, bending, lifting, and squatting.

Requirements

Strong organizational and leadership skills.
Customer-focused approach, including experience anticipating guest needs and responding pleasantly and professionally in varied settings and situations.
Ability to execute food and beverage events and strategically direct staff to ensure successful events.
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to pass certification tests required to meet health department and brand standards.

Responsibilities

Assist with setting up meeting spaces for banquet and catering events in accordance with banquet event orders and service, quality, and hospitality standards.
Assist with prompt, efficient, and friendly food and beverage service for banquets and the restaurant.
Work with the Sales Team to support client satisfaction with event room setup, food and beverage service, audiovisual functions, and food quality.
Follow food-handling sanitation procedures and obtain and maintain applicable food-handling certificates.
Respond promptly and appropriately to guest questions and concerns.
Assist with selecting, training, and developing team members.
Work to resolve operational issues and ensure appropriate follow-up.
Work closely with the Director of Food and Beverage to support efficient operation of the Food and Beverage department.
