About The Position

What happens after someone hangs up the phone with 988 or 211? Who reaches out when someone returns home from inpatient behavioral health care? At FirstLink, we believe a simple phone call, text message, or handwritten caring card can remind someone they matter. We're looking for a compassionate, relationship-focused individual to join our team as Follow-Up Specialist. We are currently hiring for the Evening Shift. Candidates may choose one of the following schedules upon hire: 2pm - 10pm, 3pm - 11pm. Candidates will also choose whether their schedule will include Saturday or Sunday to fulfill the required one-weekend workday. Every schedule at FirstLink includes two consecutive days off each week. This position starts at $21/hour, with the opportunity to receive up to an additional $1/hour after 90 days of successful independent service delivery! Responsibilities

  • Reach out to individuals who have been referred for ongoing support following behavioral health treatment, a recent crisis, or contact with FirstLink's services.
  • Build meaningful relationships through scheduled phone calls and text messages.
  • Provide emotional support.
  • Help individuals reconnect with community resources.
  • Ensure people know someone genuinely cares about their wellbeing.
  • Provide direct support to individuals reaching out through the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline and 211 Information & Referral Helpline.
  • Maintain crisis intervention and resource navigation skills.
  • Support FirstLink's overall contact center operations.
