About The Position

The FOH Bakery and Restaurant Team Member provides customer service in the bakery and restaurant, greeting customers with an Aloha spirit, explaining menu and bakery items, taking orders, and entering them into the POS system. The role also includes handling phone orders, operating and balancing the cash register, addressing customer concerns with management, following sanitation guidelines, helping bakery and kitchen departments as needed, and completing restroom restocking and other assigned cleaning duties. The position requires availability for assigned schedules that may include nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours when required.

Requirements

• Proficient in English with clear verbal communication skills.
• Basic math skills and common-sense logical reasoning ability.
• Able to report to work physically and mentally ready to perform the job; the work environment is substance-free.
• Able to work the assigned schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours when required.
• Able to balance multiple tasks and work well in a time-constrained environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with an Aloha spirit.
• Take customer orders and explain dishes and bakery items.
• Answer phones, take orders, and enter them into the POS system while providing excellent customer service.
• Identify customer issues or complaints and report them to management.
• Operate the cash register, follow sales and cash-handling procedures, and balance the register at the end of each shift.
• Advise management when guests request cash refunds or credits for returned merchandise.
• Follow sanitation guidelines prescribed by the health department.
• Assist in bakery and kitchen departments as needed.
• Restock restrooms and complete other assigned cleaning duties.
