The FN Hospitality Associate may work in a variety of food and nutrition service areas, including the tray line, host/hostess station, cafeteria, deli, cashier station, salad bar, and pizza station. The associate may also serve as a runner, restocking supplies and maintaining cleanliness. The role ensures stations are ready for operation, with accuracy, speed, and urgency, and prepares each area for the next shift. Hosts and hostesses request two patient identifiers—the patient’s date of birth and full name—and assist patients with opening items when needed. They also restock condiment boxes and sanitize patient delivery carts. Daily cleaning is required in assigned areas, and staff follow a clean-as-you-go policy. Retail stations must be cleaned and sanitized between shifts, set up and broken down, and fully restocked. Items must be dated and labeled, and temperatures recorded twice daily. Staff may be assigned other duties or temporarily moved to another work area based on business needs; break times may change based on those needs.
