About The Position

The Floral Designer/Helper supports Food City’s mission to “Run the Best Store in Town” by providing courteous, efficient customer service and contributing to a friendly, positive, and fun work environment. The role assists with floral arrangements and flower and plant care, merchandise handling and stocking, pricing, customer telephone orders, ordering and inventory, and maintaining a clean workstation. The position requires on-site attendance during scheduled shifts.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Ability to meet standard physical, mental, and visual demands.
Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions.
Ability to perform routine and repetitive tasks.
Ability to interact constantly with individuals at various levels on a daily basis.
Ability to work on-site during scheduled shifts in accordance with company time and attendance policies.

Responsibilities

Provide prompt, courteous, and efficient customer service, including greeting and speaking with customers.
Maintain a positive, friendly, and fun working environment through flexibility and teamwork.
Assist in making floral arrangements.
Process flowers and water plants.
Inspect and rotate merchandise daily.
Unload floral trucks and check in merchandise.
Stock coolers.
Maintain correct merchandise pricing.
Take telephone orders from customers.
Assist with ordering merchandise and inventory.
Keep the workstation and surrounding area neat and clean.
Attend on-site work during scheduled shifts in accordance with company time and attendance policies.
