About The Position

The Floral Designer/Helper supports floral department operations and provides friendly, courteous, and efficient customer service in alignment with Food City’s mission to “Run the Best Store in Town!” The role helps create a positive and fun working environment through flexibility, teamwork, and a customer-first approach. Responsibilities include assisting with floral arrangements and merchandise handling, supporting customer orders and inventory, and maintaining a clean workstation. The associate is required to work on-site during scheduled shifts and comply with company attendance policies.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older.
Ability to meet standard physical, mental, and visual demands.
Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions and perform routine, repetitive tasks.
Ability to interact regularly with individuals at various levels.
Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts and adhere to company time and attendance policies.

Responsibilities

Provide prompt, courteous, and efficient customer service; greet and speak with customers.
Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a friendly, fun, customer-first working environment through flexibility and teamwork.
Assist in making floral arrangements.
Process flowers and water plants.
Inspect and rotate merchandise daily.
Unload floral trucks and check in merchandise.
Stock coolers.
Maintain correct merchandise pricing.
Take telephone orders from customers.
Assist with ordering merchandise and inventory.
Keep the workstation and surrounding area neat and clean.
Attend on-site work during scheduled shifts in accordance with company time and attendance policies.
