About The Position

The Floral Designer/Helper supports Food City’s mission to “Run the Best Store in Town” by providing courteous customer service and assisting with floral department operations. The role includes helping create floral arrangements, processing flowers, caring for plants, maintaining merchandise and inventory, and keeping the workstation clean. The position requires on-site attendance during scheduled shifts and a positive, flexible, team-oriented approach.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to meet standard physical, mental, and visual demands.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions.
• Ability to perform routine and repetitive tasks.
• Ability to interact regularly with individuals at various levels.
• Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts in accordance with company time and attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, courteous, and efficient customer service, greeting and speaking with customers.
• Maintain a positive, friendly, and fun atmosphere through flexibility and teamwork.
• Assist in making floral arrangements.
• Process flowers and water plants.
• Inspect and rotate merchandise daily.
• Unload floral trucks and check in merchandise.
• Stock coolers.
• Maintain correct merchandise pricing.
• Take telephone orders from customers.
• Assist with ordering merchandise and inventory.
• Keep the workstation and surrounding area neat and clean.
• Attend on-site work during scheduled shifts in accordance with company time and attendance policies.
