About The Position

Verde Clean is hiring a Floor Technician to maintain the cleanliness, appearance, and safety of floors in an eco-friendly facilities services environment. The position is located in Jackson, Tennessee, and is scheduled Friday through Sunday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Pay is $20 per hour.

The technician performs routine floor care, operates and maintains floor-cleaning equipment, assists with restoration and minor repairs, and follows cleaning protocols suited to different flooring materials. The role also requires the safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment, compliance with safety procedures, and attention to hazardous materials.

The job requires sustained physical activity throughout the shift, including standing, walking, lifting, pushing and pulling, bending, kneeling, and operating cleaning tools and machines. Work may involve varying temperatures, outdoor areas, high humidity, and exposure to cleaning chemicals, dust, odors, and allergens. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to operate floor-cleaning equipment and follow safety protocols.
• Knowledge of different flooring materials and their specific cleaning requirements.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and excellent communication.
• Ability to meet the stated physical requirements, including sustained standing and walking, lifting and maneuvering carts, and repeated physical movements throughout the shift.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in floor cleaning and maintenance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, buff, and polish floors to keep them clean and well-maintained.
• Operate and maintain floor-care equipment, including buffers, scrubbers, and polishers, and report equipment issues.
• Assist with floor restoration and repairs, including spot cleaning, stain removal, and addressing minor flooring damage.
• Follow cleaning protocols for different flooring materials and ensure floors meet cleanliness and safety standards.
• Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely, follow safety standards and procedures, and handle hazardous materials appropriately.
