About The Position

ABM is seeking a reliable and experienced Floor Technician to maintain carpet and hard surface floors. The position also involves general building and facility cleaning and upkeep. No experience is required, and on-the-job training is provided. The role may be suitable for someone entering or returning to the workforce with limited experience and education. ABM encourages veterans and candidates with military experience to apply.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must meet all requirements to receive approval for working in specific ATS environments, if applicable, including a ten-year work history if available.
No experience is required; on-the-job training is provided.
No high school diploma, GED, or college degree is required.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience.
One year of similar work experience.

Responsibilities

Clean and maintain buildings and facilities.
Follow procedures for using chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
Notify the Manager when minor or major repairs or additions to building operating systems are needed.
Establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with clients, co-workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, and managers.
Comply with safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures established by the Company, clients, and regulatory authorities.
Clean and dust furniture, fixtures, floors, ceilings, walls, machines, and equipment.
Move cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates, and equipment to clean areas, manually or using hand trucks.
Clean interior partition glass, windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
Wash and replace blinds.
Gather and empty trash.
Sweep walks, rake leaves, cut grass, remove snow, or perform other incidental seasonal tasks.
Wipe and clean tabletops, chairs, and equipment in food areas.
Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
