About The Position

Team MJV is a building service contractor operating throughout Indiana and Michigan. The Traveling Floor Technician travels between job sites to clean and maintain floors, carpets, and hard surfaces while preserving a safe environment in accordance with Team MJV guidelines and current OSHA standards and regulations. The role aims to improve the overall appearance of job sites through the appropriate use of equipment and chemicals, and includes operational maintenance of cleaning and floor-care equipment.

This is a physically demanding position involving regular travel and irregular hours. Travel is required four nights a week. Overtime is available if requested. Team MJV provides training to incoming candidates and describes its coaches as guiding, encouraging, and teaching team members to carry out the scope of work for each customer partner. Scheduling may be arranged for part-time or full-time work, on weekdays or weekends.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license with an excellent driving record.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds and push or pull a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Flexible availability, including weekends.
• Dependability.
• Clean drug screen.
• Detail orientation and a passion for providing quality services.

Nice To Haves

• One to two years of experience as a floor technician or in a related field.
• Working knowledge of basic floor-care duties and responsibilities.
• Working knowledge of the proper use and application of floor-care products and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Travel between job sites to clean and maintain floors, carpets, and hard surfaces.
