Floor Technician - PT - Day

About The Position

Eagle Health & Rehab is seeking a part-time, day-shift Floor Technician to perform tasks that maintain a clean environment for patients. The role includes floor care, cleaning and storing equipment, reporting repair needs, handling waste disposal, and assisting with housekeeping equipment. The technician is expected to communicate warmly and professionally with associates, patients, families, and visitors, and contribute to collaborative efforts across the System. Starting pay is $15.29 per hour, with weekly pay.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and speak effectively before groups of customers or associates.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagrammed instructions and address problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.
Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.
Ability to meet the described physical demands, including sitting, talking or hearing, walking, using hands to handle or feel, reaching, and occasionally standing.

Responsibilities

Dust, sweep, mop, buff, strip, and wax floors as scheduled by the supervisor.
Clean and store equipment at the end of each shift.
Report needed repairs.
Perform waste disposal procedures as required by the supervisor.
Assist in the proper care and use of housekeeping equipment.
Promote the System’s image and reputation through servant leadership and direct, open communication.
Contribute to committees, workgroups, project management, and other collaborative efforts of the System.
Perform other duties as necessary to ensure the success of the System.
Communicate warmly and professionally with associates, patients, family members, and visitors; respond to concerns and answer questions appropriately.
