About The Position

The Floor Technician is responsible for performing tasks that provide a clean environment for patients. This part-time role includes scheduled floor care and cleaning duties, proper equipment care, and waste disposal. The technician also helps promote the System’s image and reputation through servant leadership and open communication, and contributes to collaborative System efforts. Starting pay is $15.29 per hour, with weekly pay.

Requirements

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and speak effectively before groups of customers or associates.
Ability to perform basic arithmetic using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to apply common-sense understanding to written, oral, or diagrammatic instructions and handle problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.
Ability to meet the stated physical demands, with reasonable accommodations where applicable.

Responsibilities

Dust, sweep, mop, buff, strip, and wax floors as scheduled by the supervisor.
Clean and store equipment at the end of each shift.
Report needed repairs.
Perform waste disposal procedures as required by the supervisor.
Assist with the proper care and use of housekeeping equipment.
Promote the image and reputation of the System through servant leadership and direct, open communication.
Contribute to committees, workgroups, project management, and other collaborative efforts of the System.
Perform other duties as necessary to ensure the success of the System.
Communicate with associates, patients, family members, and visitors in a warm, friendly, approachable, and professional manner; respond to concerns and answer questions when appropriate.
